I hear you, but nothing changed names (for me at least) when adding cards. It was the VLAN stuff that just wouldn't work. Removed the VLANs, and all worked as before. I've concluded that there was something underlying (related to the addition of the nic cards I guess) that was keeping the vlan stuff from working, and the only way to remedy was reload and let SecurePlatform re-identify the interfaces.
BTW, I did not have to put an IP address on the physical interface I have my vlans on... All good! -----Original Message----- From: Mailing list for discussion of Firewall-1 [mailto:fw-1-mailingl...@amadeus.us.checkpoint.com] On Behalf Of Ken Cameron Sent: Monday, November 15, 2010 4:35 PM To: FW-1-MAILINGLIST@AMADEUS.US.CHECKPOINT.COM Subject: Re: [FW-1] multi-VLANs to Cisco Catalyst That little trip up, interfaces change names when cards added or removed has bit people over the years. Using the mac address to double check which ended up as which is an easy trick to help confirm which is which (if you recorded them). -ken cameron, CCP.
