Does this happen only on certain websites? As someone suggested, you could try an earlier version of JAWS, or nVDA latest version even, and see what happens. But some already consider IE to be a "deprecated" browser. In my experience though, it doesn't crash so much as things just don't work right/links or certain parts of the page appear invisible using IE. So it might be something else particular to your system. Maybe if you give a site url that is giving you trouble, others on the list could try for themselves.
