I'm from Jerusalem (Ma'ale Adumim actually) and don't know much ILUG
people
from here either. Seems all the action is happening in Haifa.
That's surprising, cause I happened to see HUJI's CS few days ago, with
Mosix and all those KDE terminals they've got down there (all X, no
Win95).
But it still seems no events would be here in the near time....
Is it not enough interest, or no sponsors? Is this a doomed city? :)

Enough gurus here really. The gurus just won't go down to the users
level
crying out "That doesn't work", usually ignoring those or answering with
"Invalid syntax. Please rephrase." instead of giving some general hints.
In fact, I'm doing it too. If only I had more time for this ...

What's a member of the ILUG basically? One who's reading the mailing
list.
Now, who without very much interest, whiling (able) to help other people
and having efficient mail sorting system (IMAP + exim filters on server,
in my case) would flood his/her mailbox off with our mailing list?
I remember myself subscribing the list about a year and a half ago
(when I had much less experience), using POP3 mail, and then
unsubscribing
just as fast.

When we put up an installfest, it should be advertised somehow in other
ways.
If NV was sponsoring it, couldn't they put a link to the info on their
site?
And couldn't we create a web page about it?
