1/ You confirm that metakit files have a serious design flaw that puts at
risk our data when accessed through a network.
2/ You give indications on the nature of the corruption, and how to
prevent it.

Man, I understand you're very busy, but you've always taken corruption
bugs seriously. With all the details that Pat gave, is there a chance that
you'll fix this issue in the future, for the benefit of all of us who are
not familiar enough with Metakit's guts ?
