Hi Daniel - try the Parc Monceau, entering from the gates opposite the Rue de
Prony along Boulevard
de Courcelles. It's very pretty, and a more up-market part of Paris: my wife
and I explored it
together for the first time for both of us in 1995.
I always avoided the Bois de Boulogne, too big and some dodgy goings-on
happening there!
An interesting walk is from the Pigalle metro station, up along Rue Houdon,
left into Rue des
Abbesses, which becomes Rue Lepic and takes you eventually close to the Place
du Tertre. Not too
far, quite a lot of uphill, but I always found it colourful and some really good
bistros/restaurants, populated by the locals, which is always a good sign!

Subject: Anyone in Paris?

Are any list members or lurkers in Paris?

Next week my wife and I are flying to Paris, for a river cruise to Normandy and
return.
We will be in Paris for several hours on Tuesday April 4 and all day on Monday,
April 10. I would
love to meet up with any PDMLers in the city.

We have been to Paris before, but any ideas for photo opportunities beyond the
usual monuments would
also been appreciated from anyone familiar with the city.
