At least according to Susanne Langer analysis is dependent on intuition. Her example: Suppose someone admits that All men are mortal and that Socrates is a Man, but cannot see that therefore Socrates is mortal. That would be a failure of intuition. And hence, I guess, the explanation of intuition (gee the 'tions' add up) would be a problem of neuroscience, not of logic or philosophy. Carrol
