Sorry Kent, I was trying to incite less vague examples, and in doing this
I accidentally played devil's advocate. My opinions were not so strong.
I don't mean to disrespect the contributions made by you and others.
SplitPane looks like an excellent widget and I'm glad that it's available
in contributed/. I didn't think Ricks' QxHttpTransport was that good (we
had some implementation disagreements), but QxRequest (still a bit sketchy
but the API is what's important) drew from its pros and cons.
Perhaps you should ressurect the issues that led you and others to be
frustrated, and propose solutions. For example, I read through the
SplitPane threads and couldn't find any suggestions on how the
contributed/ structure should be improved to make it less awkward for you
to maintain.
Maybe as a less-involved user I should step out of this conversation.
