Admittedly, I haven't tried that for awhile, so I performed the steps you outlined above. However, I don't start "jackd" directly. I did it the way I usually do it, namely, by starting qjackctl. I then started Rosegarden, and for a sound generator, I started qsynth. I then started audacity, and specified jack as the audio host, and rosegarden as the input device. After starting playback in Rosegarden (and hearing the sound), in audacity, I clicked the tool to start monitoring. After about 6 seconds, audacity crashed. My system is Lubuntu 13.10, with PulseAudio installed (which I need for Java Sound). So it still doesn't work for me. Without qjackctl running, I can record from qsynth (using ALSA & PulseAudio), using the monitor of system output as the audio source. Whenever I have qjackctl running, I just use Rosegarden for recording audio, which seems to work just fine. -- Sincerely, Aere ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ Rosegarden-devel mailing list [email protected] - use the link below to unsubscribe https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/rosegarden-devel
