tries to send it through our server he gets the following bounce. I have

I can say that the latest interim is 1.79i7.
That is great then I know the latest interim.
But that won't help someone
who is running 1.79i3 in this case, because they don't know if the new
feature was added before or after 1.79i3.
Correct but they will know they do not have the latest

No, it's not completely useless. Even if you can't query
_your own_ SPF record unless it's set to accept wildcard
sending IPs--and you can't use WHITELIST AUTH for those
IPs--you can still publish an internal DNS zone for your
domain that doesn't contain an SPF record,
Now Scott needs to notify us for future IP change of his mail server
No, it is your responsibility to check to see if it changes.
Declude JunkMail is designed to prevent legitimate E-mail from getting
caught. If you are blocking the E-mail, there is probably a problem with
your configuration.
No need for a response from NJABL -- they are refusing to accept our mail
to their removal address (a temporary failure for 10 hours from their
primary mailserver; their backup would have outright refused the E-mail if
our mailserver hit it). So it is safe to say that NJABL is willing to

the subject line. I'm included both what the subject line looks like in an

Markus,
I wouldn't say "only" in the case of SPFFAIL as there are other
situations that might warrant different use. I believe that you are
dead on as far as SPFPASS goes though.
One thing of note is why I choose not to implement SPF at this time.
Because I don't have control over how my

Correct?
Yes.
And so anyone should make his own understanding without a discussion
on this list? Maybe great part of all who are running SPF tests
doesn't know about this special issues.
No harm in discussing the issues.
Keep in mind that the defensive effect of SPF-Records can only
The file date does display on the webpage. But I agree the version number displayed in

As for searching the archives, since they haven't been updated for over two weeks,
won't this start being an incomplete information source?

We can do that, but then it is back to just releases/betas.

One thing of note is why I choose not to implement SPF at this time.
Because I don't have control over how my customers use their E-mail, i.e.
what server they send it through, and because many don't send it through
mine, including everyone who's ISP has blocked port 25 outbound,
:)
This definitely will not happen -- that's one of the more time-consuming
parts of the interims.
Scott...
All I asked for was the inclusion of this in your emails..
... This is added in our latest interim (1.76i6) Blah blah blah
That is it.. :)
I know we have 1.79i6- so I won't be

Anybody else with this trouble? I've got 300+ messages queued to

Anybody who scores SPFFAIL very low doesn't understand SPF.
You can't pussyfoot around those that don't know their own
technology, or you get completely paralyzed.
The goal is to understand enough about SPF to allow a high weight for
SPFFAIL :-)

Frankly, I'm sometimes amazed you get any work done, considering the number of posts
you have on the Declude and Imail forums. Add to that the number of e-mails that

Understood on old features...just saying that was fixed previously (thus
contained in the newest interim) *and* including the number of the latest

OK, I give up. Where can I download the interim release? I haven't been
able to find it since the website was updated. It used to be at
http://www.declude.com/interim but not any more. I have searched the
archives and even tried using the search tool on the site. Nothing.
