I concur Colin. There are so very few SW logs posted anywhere these days that
anyone who is posting is truly helping to keep the hobby alive. So tallyho and
onward Paul. Keep'em coming. Not quite sure what John's opposition is or why he
is bringing Glenn Hauser into this but all I can say is chill and enjoy.

I repeat my previous message with two important corections for Todd and a new

that reminds me sometimes when i  listen to my fav station(s)  as RTM

(freq)_ outlets that are __beyond__ the scope of this post...Luckily 9835 is
now clear with limited QRM from the nearby freqs. For most of the time heard
here in SKG between15 -20Z.

-My new comment: I dont intend to haras anyone This is  just  a point of view
if you are asking me personally and sorry if you misunderstand me     . Think
at as a passioate love with a station  music or country . The other man here
has a passion with Oman.I know someone other with N Korea and another friend
DXer with L America. I have passion with Malaysia and its music for more than
28 years and many DXers know that. Just notice  that for many years I had
cooperation with the Malay counselor for my city!
So what's the problem ??

Re: [HCDX] Observations on Oman, Paul Walker

2017-09-27 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
One post a day is harassing no one, I am simply doing what other dxers
do... they offer up monitoring reports/logs on multiple stations at once or
post about TP/TA logs... I do the same thing with one signal.

But since no one really seems to be as interested in this Station as me, I
won’t send them out anymore. Your voices have been heard lol

Not a big deal to me either was, I was enjoying monitoring and logging.

This is a hobby, I do it for fun... have I been harsh and needlessly rude
at times? Yeah. We get older and learn.

I have plenty of other stuff to do besides DXing, such as work... which is
why I don’t have the time to post multi station logs every day. Takes too
long to type.

Re: [HCDX] Observations on Oman, Paul Walker

2017-09-27 Thread Paul B. Walker, Jr.
If I report a Station as NEW that’s bexause to the best of my memory, it’s
new to MY log book.

I am by no means emulating or copying another DXer on purpose. I observe
the way I observe and write the way I write

And obviously my daily observations about Oman really aren’t appreciated,
which I can really understand why they aren’t, so I probably stop doing
them soon.

Re: [HCDX] Observations on Oman, Paul Walker

2017-09-27 Thread WHO DARES WINS
Paul,

I find it hilariously funny that the same DXer you constantly harass is the
same "full time DXer" whom you emulate daily with your style of reporting logs,
your logging language, and now going as far as telling us you've been
contacting offending stations transmitting on the same frequency as your
beloved 15140, Oman, which your referenced "full time DXer" has been doing with
success daily for years with other stations causing QRM on the same time and
frequency. Many times this "full time DXer has had much success with stations
taking his observations seriously, and making changes only because he does DX
daily as his primary occupation. I in the past also had many battles with said
DXer you mention with continued venom, but found even though his corrective
style at times rubbed me raw, he was correct in pointing out my wrong logs.
Perhaps you as I did can learn from him and as I did became more careful in my
logging entries?
Your continued proclamation of logged headlines of "NEW" DXed stations for you
are and have been reported for years by many others in the Hobby. I'm not
saying that it's not interesting your picking up another NEW station for you,
but for even casual SW DXers these stations usually are easy catches. Living in
the lower 48 makes these stations the norm for most of us and doesn't generate
much in the form of replies from other DX logger's.
I know your a member of NASWA as I once was and you do receive their weekly SW
Flash Sheet which for years has had these same "NEW" stations listed quite
frequently by several part time and full time log reporters myself included.
The only time I ever got responses on my logs were if I picked up truly new non
reported or hard to catch Shortwave stations.
