As a quick aside, if you choose send money to friends or family instead of a purchase, the event and you will pay much lower transaction fees - this leaves more of the money available to the organizers! This is a very fair offer and realistically the maximum you can afford. However, a warning. Has the thinking progressed further than finance, a hall and tables? So far I have heard no one come with plans of how you would fill such an event. The great success of QL2004 and QLis21 was that we had an idea of the program the details of a venue, and we publicised those ideas right from the start. By comparison QLis25 was a damp squib.
