My experience indicates that CS, especially with some D-Mannose dissolved in
it, is powerful medicine for prostate and other urinary infections. Drink a
lot of it. As regards prostate enlargement, I have found a combination of
zinc and saw-palmetto supplementation effective.

Thanks for that easy tip, TJ!! Dianne, I've taken Lugol's internally -anywhere
between 10 - 15 drops in say a quarter cup of apple or grape juice and haven't
had any problems at all. I now take Magnascent (in quarter cup distilled
water), but wouldn't hesitate at all to take Lugol's again internally. I had
no idea that it cures UTI's though - that's certainly handy info to have on
hand and I don't think I'd want to try catheterizing myself except as a last
resort!

An obvious addition: put EIS in the water. This might work wonders.
The tract would be open during urination, allowing EIS to enter more
readily. There would seem to be much to gain and nothing to lose.

Re: CSurinary tract infection

2007-11-28 Thread chaha
Regarding Bladder Infections, I give my female dog herbs for a
congenital/heredity problem with bladder/kidney problems. Her litter mate died
with one kidney full of stone, and the other kidney about 3/4 full, and their
father had problems. My holistic vet tried various things and nothing really
worked, but cost me. So I looked in a couple of herb books I have and I gave
her Uva Ursi, the purple cap which is standardized by Nature's Way. First gave
it to her for about 2 weeks, and she eventually bled, probably was her stomach
as it can irritate it. So now, I give it to her as two pills a day for two
consecutive days in a row along with pepcid, each week. Since she has a
chronic problem I maintain her the rest of the week with Echinacea. Done this
for more than 2 years, probably 3. Vet knows I'm not buying stuff from her but
she tells me to keep doing what I'm doing because it's working. This has to be
better than being on antibiotics every few weeks.

I started having problems with repeat UTIs about 10 yrs ago. First time, I had
no idea what hit me and ended up in Drs office. ABX for 10 days, and the darn
thing came back 3 days later.

Then I discovered CS.
I'm a kitchen sink kind've person, so I've knocked UTIs out of my life
permanently by putting a scoop of D-Mannose in 1/2 cup of CS, and frequently
put about a tsp of uva-ursi, and whatever other liquid herbals for the urinary
tract that I may have around.

Taking even one dose of the above at the first sign that an infection *might*
be showing up has forestalled every one.

Oh--right before I discovered CS, I did use Lugol's iodine successfully--6
drops 4x a day. I will sometimes put a drop or two of Lugol's in the above
'recipe'just for the heck of it.

if it really is lugols, then it is safe to take internally. if it contains

 the CDC has parameters on line about ingesting lugols and limits for daily

Frequently over the past year I've had several of these infections and
absolutely hate going to the doctor. I increase the cs to multiple times
during the day and also use Gallium-Heel. Gallium is a homeopathic medication
for chronic illness, viral infections such as colds and flu. It is
manufactured by Heel. This has helped me each time keep from going to the
doctor and having to go thru conventional antibiotics.

There was a post about bladder infections on another site and it recommended
buying a catheter and inject hydrogen peroxide after you reach the bladder.
They said it immediately cures the infection. I haven't tried that. They said
most medical supply stores carry catheters. I don't know if I saved it but
could try and find the post if you are interested.

Hi Jim. I've cured myself of bladder/urinary tract infections with the
EIS I make. Just keep drinking it until it subsides and disappears. I
didn't measure the amount I used, but I wasn't afraid of it. I sat down
with a big bottle of EIS and drank about (I'm guessing here) more than a
cup to start, and then maybe 3/4 to 1 cup every 10 to 15 minutes until
it was gone. The pain gets unbearable if one doesn't attack it with a
vengeance quickly. Whenever I have some issue causing me discomfort
that I know silver will help, I do this, and it always seems to work.
With a bladder or urinary infection, the idea is to drink enough of it
so that the excess water causes urination ASAP, getting the silver to
where the problem is quickly. If she doesn't have a generator to make
EIS, or for some reason she doesn't have enough, if I were in her shoes,
I'd resort to getting some pharmaceutical antibiotics quick to avoid the
pain.  Jodi

Hi Nancy and Tel,

Thank you for your very helpful input to this Site! A Happy, Healthy,
Prosperous NEW YEAR to you and ALL!

I agree with your observations re: CS in UTI. Audrey (my beautiful bride of
58 years) suffered with a chronic UTI about every 3 to 4 weeks for a number
of years (even after using CS faithfully: then Brooks Bradley--one of the
generous Experts on this Site--shared that in his Lab, it was found that 1
part CS + 2 parts Gatorade (as an electrolyte) carried CS deeper into
tissues than CS could go alone; She added the Gatorade to her CS and Praise
God, she has NOT had a UTI attack in over a year. Being a graduate of UF I
enjoy sticking to Gatorade to enrich their royalty funds from Gatorade,
though many search for other electrolytes to replace it.

As Tel observed, Nothing can replace Water intake. One friend wisely
observed, Had God intended us to drink quantities of substitutes (such as
Coke, Sprite, Tea, Coffee, etc., He would have placed Springs of these

Will CS help how long will it take to knock it out ?
~~~
Yes , CS should help, also drink plenty of pure water to flush.
Amount to drink? I make it so I would drink a quart a day until healed.
If you pay $17.00 an oz in a Health food store, take a teaspoon 5 times
a day or so.
If you have a good supply you could irrigate the vaginal cannel as well.
Csshould be effective with most bactereia, yeast, fungus, infections.
I am not a Dr. but you are free to experment with CS.
Re: CSurinary tract infection track
2002-04-04 Thread Malcolm Stebbins
H, (think, think, think, think, think, think,)  Are we on different tracks
here?  I'm talking about acid vs. alkaline, and it seems you're talking about
concentration of minerals in the liquid of the kidney's second stage, where it
resorbs water and other bits of stuff.  It does so in response to the amount of
water the body signals that it needs (at least in part) so sure, dehydration
leads to high and dangerous concentrations  of the relatively insoluble stone
forming junk.  And stones form, no surprise there.
Regarding infections, in relatively (I said relatively, now) dilute urine
solutions most of them like e.coli, pseudomonas, klebsiella, can exist more
easily in an alkaline environment; furthermore they can't jump very far or swim
very fast, so drinking lotsa water is not only diluting the broth from the
kidneys (thus reducing the tendency to stones and feeding the bugs less
nourishing soup at the same time) but facing them with an uphill torrent they
can't traverse, keeping them out of the upper UT - a  good thing to do.
Take care, Malcolm
Nick Grant wrote:
 My mum and dad both had kidney stones.  Mum's last bout with them was an
 and when she was admitted for laser treatment, the doctors told her they had
 seen a record number of people this summer with kindney stones.
 They believed it was due to people getting dehydrated, and everything
 becoming so concentrated.  New one on me.
 What do you think about that?
  Hi, I don't go along with your comment that an acidic environment in the
 urinary
  tract is linked to bladder or kidney stones, in fact I think it's just the
  opposite.  Generally the stones are a compound of calcium, and can even be
  dissolved by adding acidic solutions to a chunk of one.  There may be
 something,
  or some form of stone, I don't know about, or maybe there is some bodily
  reaction to the constant presence of an acidic environment, so if you have
  knowledge about some specifics I'd like to learn of them.
  Quite often, bacteria hide inside the stones, thus avoiding total
 destruction by
  the usual antibiotic regimen, and after even months of pills they return
 when
  the ABX are gone and in a few days to a week or so, there you are, yucky
 pee
  again.
Re: CSurinary tract infection
2002-03-31 Thread Malcolm Stebbins
Hello Brooks;
This post interests me because I have a chronic urogenic bladder due to spinal
cord injury 38 years ago; L1-L5 compression fracture resulting from a motorcycle
accident.  In the more recent past I have had two operations for bladder stone
removal, three and two years ago.  for about the past eight years I have taken
oxybutynin chloride (ditropan is essentially identical, curare for the
bladderg) to reduce spasming and the exacerbation of diverticulae as well as
the possibility of reflux to the kidneys.  I'm under the care of the SCI center
at the Palo Alto VA Hospital as an outpatient.  Shortly after the second stone
removal I contracted an infection requiring I.V. drip of Gentamycin alternating
with Vancomycin for 4 days; painful and frightening, probably a hospital bug.
I realized I'd better rely on something more than the VA for possible future
resistant infections, and began making colloidal silver per Thom. Miller's site
plans.  Since I intermittently cath, using neosporin as a lubricant, I attempted
irrigating with the CS as well as taking orally , but had no real success in
supressing infections - back to the pill bottle.  Since then, I've built a
constant current, relay flip-flop, generator with stirring and thus improved the
quality of my CS, but have hesitated to try it as an irrigant since on one
memorable occasion I apparently innoculated myself with something other than CS
- back to the pill bottle.  I regularly irrigate with Suby's G solution, a
buffered citric acid solution, without problems.
I noted your inclusion of DMSO, 5% in the irrigating solution and would very
much appreciate learning  of other experimental protocols  you might be aware of
directly or otherwise.  I really do need to manage my own health concerns on
this problem, since the VA Health Care System is relatively - say rather
absolutely - inflexible in such matters.  There are some good Doc.s but they are
constrained by the system.
Thanks very much,  Malcolm
Buchu leaf is very pleasant just on its own as an alternative herbal drink.
 Use just 3 leaves and pour boiling water over them - remove them almost
immediately.  They can be used three times.
Use fresh leaves three times a day for treatment Take 1/2 teaspoonful in a
cup of boiling water and steep for 5-10 mins. Remove leaves and drink. Take
some any time you feel niggles in the bladder area.
Hi Judith,
Sounds pretty good.  Would you mind sharing your source for the Buchu
leaves?
I don't think that my local health food store has any. Thanks a lot.
Frozen cranberry juice is also good for urinary infections.
  Subject: CSUrinary Tract Infection---CS plus other helpers
  Hi Gang,  I usually just lurk unless I find something that is truly
extraordinary to share.  I had been suffering with a bladder infection for
the last week, using the mixture of CS, Gatorade and MSM that was mentioned
a couple months ago (see archives) as being valuable to augment the
effectiveness of the CS.  I found that although I wasn't getting worse, I
wasn't getting better either.  I spoke to my homeopathic doctor who
suggested that I augment the CS with Cranberry-Buchu tablets.  I was
astonished when my rather chronic symptoms were reduced in 24-36 hours.  I
am continuing on the CS/Cranberry-Buchu tablets until I am symptom free
(perhaps a week more).  I had never heard of the addition of the Buchu Leaf
to the Cranberry, but it made all the difference in the world.
  Hope this helps someone.
  Al
I would add cranberry concentrate and dandelion root to your supplement regimen
immediately. Those two, along with MSM and garlic, have done wonders with a
friend of mine over the years.
Are you sure the Buchu Leaf is what helped. If you check the archives on
this list you will find that the combination of CS with cranberry juice
or tablets has been suggested many time, and has proven effective for
many.  I have never heard of the Buchu leaf part before though.  Did you
try CS and cranberry without the Buchu leaf?
 I don't know, Tom, but one of my success stories is my brother, a
 diabetic who suffered from chronic bladder infections due to his
 sometimes less than adequate control of his sugar. The little
 buggers always had a fertile medium to grow in, so he'd be on
 antibiotics and sulfa drugs all too often.
 He started taking a course of CS, starting small and building the
 dose up to what seemed reasonably large. After a couple of weeks I
 suggested he back off to just a swallow once in a while. He's had
 few if any problems since, and they only come back if he neglects
 the CS for a while.
 The CS he's been taking is whatever I happen to be brewing. Lately
 it's just the 5-10 ppm variety. Earlier on it was probably 15-20 ppm.
 So dosage and ppm aren't that critical for him.
 Hope that helps.
 Be well,
  A more effective method is to inject the CS thru the penis.
  adding CG to the CS has a curative effect.
A couple years ago, when I started using cs, I read an article by a doctor
who injected cs directly into the bladder for a bladder infection.  Results
were good.  Something like an ear syringe can be used to force cs up the
urinary tract just like a catheter.
