[android-developers] error in NavigationView.java

Hellow 

i was have a problem from monthes that fixed with this code:
in app build.gradle:
configurations.all {
resolutionStrategy {
force 'com.android.support:support-v4:23.+'
force 'com.android.support:appcompat-v7:23.+'
}
}

and every thing was working fine

untill i updated google repository and by wrong updated android support 
repository too (SDK manager)
so i can use:
com.google.android.gms:play-services-ads:9.8.0
com.google.android.gms:play-services-location:9.8.0

and then have so many errors like somthing in java.exe , another thing 
about dublicate entry
but i hardly fixed all of them by searching online

now no errors while building my APK but once open the app on my phone it 
craches

then noticed that in all my layouts (.xml) that i use 
 android.support.design.widget.NavigationView  inside them telling me this 
error:

Rendering Problems The following classes could not be instantiated:
- android.support.design.widget.NavigationView (Open Class, Show Exception,

i clicked on open class and found many line that cannot be resolved:

some of this lines is in other class that i made and working fine but in 
NavigationView.class and NavigationMenuPresenter.java it cannot be resolved 
!


so any help please ?? :D

[android-developers] Force 4k display mode on Android with preferedDisplayMode

Hi everyone,


I am trying to force 4k display mode to target phones with 4k screens. It 
was working pretty well with Android M and I had beautiful 4k support using

WindowManager.LayoutParams params = getWindow().getAttributes();
params.preferredDisplayModeId = 2;
getWindow().setAttributes(params);

After the Android N update it changed the behavior completely, the whole 
interface gets scaled way over the screen limits where I only see a portion 
of the screen, including the status bar and the navigation buttons on the 
bottom. to leave the app I need to close it from Android Studio.

Any idea how to get the Android M behaviour back?

to meet CLIENT’S business requirements, assessing Fit/GAPs, new
functionality and making recommendations,

· Regularly collaborates with other module leads, monitoring tasks,
prioritizing, and optimizing implementation efforts where needed to meet
project milestones for General Ledger.

· General Ledger Lead will need to lead, facilitate and support the
build of any potential new integrations with the other module leads for the
following, eProcurement, Asset Management, Inventory, Billing, Time and

· Leads the functional design sessions with subject matter experts
(SME) and in meetings between other stakeholders, project resources, and

delivery, executing the mock data conversion for all CLIENT’S project data,

reporting during System, Integration and User Acceptance within the test

[android-developers] Error:Execution failed for task directoryPicker:processReleaseResources

Hello developers,

I am having a problem lately with Android Studio ever since I updated to
2.3.3. I have searched all the forums for possible solutions. Some say I
need to open Android Studio in Administration Mode, others say that I just
need to clean the project once!

The error occurs when I try to run or build a project. Here is error
message:

Error:Execution failed for task ':directoryPicker:processReleaseResources'.
> java.io.IOException: Could not delete path
'C:\Users\XXX\Desktop\X\X\directoryPicker\build\generated\source\r\release\android\support\compat'
.

Every time I want to build or run the project, I have to "Build > Clean
project" and sometimes I need to close and reopen AS. This happens to all
my projects and not only one project. I did the following:

1. Ran Android Studio in Administration mode
2. Deleted the build folder
3. Restarted the computer and Android Studio

But no luck! Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

Please be informed that the file path varies. Sometimes it's
"android\support\compact" and sometimes it's something else!

was working pretty well on Android M, but on the N update
it's scaling the whole phone UI to 4k and the whole
phone interface is messed up. Not the app UI, but the whole
phone, I don't see the bottom navigation bar for
example, and the status bar fills 1/4 of the screen with the
time, network and wifi icons. I have no idea why it's
doing that (or even if it's supposed to be doing
that).

You could check the supported modes on the device, and then check the pixel
size on those to select the one closer to what you want.

Thanks for the reply Marina. I am checking the modes, testing on an Xperia 
Z5 Premium, and there are 2 modes: 1080p and 4k. It was working pretty well 
on Android M, but on the N update it's scaling the whole phone UI to 4k and 
the whole phone interface is messed up. Not the app UI, but the whole 
phone, I don't see the bottom navigation bar for example, and the status 
bar fills 1/4 of the screen with the time, network and wifi icons. I have 
no idea why it's doing that (or even if it's supposed to be doing that).
