Charles, try using about a 12 inch long stout screw driver or small pry
bar. The bolts that get threaded to the balancer should give you a little room
between the plate and the balancer after the bolts bottom out. Once you have
taken up all the slack with the center bolt place

I'm using the exact same tool, Brad. Its just that the balancer isn't stationary. Its keep turning as it would if the engine was started (just it turns along with the threaded rod and plate on the remover). I'm going to try to jam something between the balancer and the engine front maybe, but it

But that's where my problem lies. Once I start to turn the remover clockwise
the harmonic balancer it self is still moving in a clockwise direction. So

But that's where my problem lies. Once I start to turn the remover clockwise the harmonic balancer it self is still moving in a clockwise direction. So it seems as though I'm not actually tightening remover to pull the balancer off.
I've tried to wedge something
while you take off the balancer.

Gary,
Get a about a 3 all thread bolt with the proper threads (grade 8).
Put a nut and large washer on the bolt. Start the balancer over the key,
put the bolt in and bottom it out in the crank, then snug the nut and
washer up to the balancer and drive it on by tightening the nut. The
