Eu selecionei o espaço correto para o debian fiz tudo certo: Eu criei 2 GB de swap e 100GB para o sistema e 800 gb para uma partição extra. Selecionei a parte dos 100 para o sistema, porem quando clico para mudar de flag inicializavel: desligado para flag inicializavel: ligado não acontece nada.

Você não setou o target correto para a instalação do Grub... Refaz a instalação do Debian do início, seleciona o espaço que vai receber o Debian e deixa o particionador automático tomar conta das configurações pra você. Normalmente ele cuida pra fazer o mais seguro e recomendado pra ti... e
