For those with Gmail, the only way I have found to reduce the amount of
reflector emails that don't interest me is to set up a filter.
The way I do this is to first do a search on the subject I'm no longer
interested in: "K3S Package Discounts" for example. Then, beside the search

Ha! That's pretty funny. Welcome Mike. You are going to love your KX3 in

saying for it's size.
Welcome back to the hobby. Catch you on the air.

I don't know... are you sure the cables just connect in parallel? Maybe

Discharge Connector: Anderson Powerpole
This tells me each connector has a different purpose. In fact,
I asked Bioenno about the use of the connectors and pointed out their site
shows the barrel is for charging and the Powerpoles are for discharging. I
was told this is not correct and that they will fix the information on
their site. They have a process to go through with their product people so

Concerning Flex, one of the engineers posted a pretty detailed explanation
of how they handle strong signals in a wide band environment. This stuff is
still a bit over my head but owning both the KX3 and the Flex-6500 I can

At the risk of jumping in on a forbidden subject I am actually waiting on

Anyone that owns one probably expects a whole lot from Elecraft. In my

Hard to answer as I don't know your situation or operating conditions. I
have the KX3. It is sufficiently loud and ok intelligibility if I'm in a

I use the ASUS U7. Fits well in my camera bag with the radio. Works good
with PSK-31 and other digi modes. Ugly part is all the cables and it is
pretty easy to knock the big knob on top and throw that adjustment off.

I could have sworn I was doing the right thing by keeping it in auto. In

I'm reading the specifications for the KAT500. Typical matching range from
3-30 MHz is 10:1 SWR for 600 watts.
This means that if the KAT500 utility reports "Bypass VSWR" in excess of
10:1 then the KPA500 should not be set to operate.
I'm running a dipole cut for 80 and fed with 600 ohm ladder

I think the KPA500 with the KAT500 and my Flex are a wonderful combination.
That said, my KPA500 stopped working. It appears, after reviewing the logs,
I hit it with 75 watts and probably blew one of the diodes in the front
end. I can dig up the explanation if
Hi Jack:
I hit mine with about 100 watts. Had a great exchange with support along

decided to return it for the repair and a good going-over.

How exactly does the Memorize button work in the Operate tab of the KAT500
