What is it that allows windows characteristics to be remembered?
I am a long-time user of Evolution for e-mail. It always remembered
characteristics, most importantly the workspace, until version 3.50.x.
When I asked the dev said he knew of no change that would have affected
the failure to

Happy New Year to all -- and thanks to Rasterman and the other devs for
the 0.26 Christmas present!
I am sure this has come up before. When the default setting of allowing
windows to extend partially beyond the screen limits is retained, some
non-maximized windows will open partly outside (a pain

Yesterday after updating my Mageia Cauldron laptop it went down due to
a battery failure. After that virtually all icons disappeared and none
appear in the settings for Enlightenment (even though they are present
in user/share/icons and the installed IceWM DOES see them).
I see nothing in
Happy New Year all.
Mageia just pulled in Ecrire as a recommends, and it's good to see it
getting a little love. I may get to requests (like being able to set
the font globally which does not seem possible at the moment).
For Simon Lees: Ecrire does not play nice with the Dimensions theme.

ePhoto is a wonderful application that has only had one annoyance: when
I click on a file it has always opened the directory rather than the
file itself.
Now with e25 I cannot seem to find a way even to open a directory
located in the NTFS partition of my dual boot machine. ePhoto simply
opens

Now that the font seems to be solved, I find I cannot set the scale in
elementary. It shows as 1.36. I can reduce it, but it changes nothing
and when I open the setting dialog again it appears as 1.36.
E 0.25.3 in Mageia Linux
Any ideas?
___
After a long wait, I finally have E 0.25 in my Mageia 9 (Cauldron)
installation.
First, Thank you Rasterman for including touchpad controls.
Second, I am glad someone asked about the startup sound. Killing that
was one of my initial acts. (Sorry, but [startup] silence is golden!)

As noted, Arch (or perhaps a derivative) is the best for having the
latest e, and rasterman always had a build
OK, let's see if I can do better this time. Peter was right that my
translation-related question about tags was badly phrased! The only
save is that as least we (?) learned something in the process.
So, trying again . . .
First a question about this string:
#:
I am in the process of updating the Spanish translation for E24 and am
curious about the "ps" tag. When I updated for E23, I saw that most
tags were replaced by , although I could not find the latter
on any list of XML tags. Now I see that there are both and
tags.
* How and where are these

I am currently updating the Spanish translation for E. I had hoped to
finish before the release of 0.23, which I may not make, but it should
be very close (with what I can squeeze in in the next 18-24 hours).
In checking a couple of strings I tripped across the use of the
following strings for

I have mixed results with appindicators in the E systray (e21, e22) in
Mageia with X-windows. The following applications (from the distro
respository) work as expected:
* Copyq
* Mageia updates
* Mageia network
And these work, but a triangle with exclamation point in the center
appears in the
