L'altro giorno stavo verificando delle cose sul livello di sicurezza della
Mandrake 7.2. Dopo aver cambiato il level da medio a alto ho fatto un bel
logout e ho riavviato la macchina! La cosa geniale e' che ora la password di
root non viene piu' riconosciuta mentre l'utente normale

My take on this is that the kernel in the distribution includes compiled in
support for i-386, however should Joergen want to just have an i-386 kernel
he can recompile then from the sources?

time to stay correct. It's always 5 hour behind the correct EST time. I've
tried Drakconf, linuxconf, timetool, and I've even set up xntp, but after a
reboot it returns itself 5 hour behind. Any ideas???
Just installed 7.2 (clean from dl iso's). Configured X in xinerama. I
use WindowMaker. Ever since then, qt dependant programs (kmail, licq,
kppp) attempt to use illegible 1 pixel fonts (they're really really
small) The login screen in kdm is readable, but the fonts are wrong.
Any suggestions?

Try going into your bios and checking what the time is there. If it is not correct,
correct it.
Probably your operating system is setting its clock by the hardware clock (bios).
If you don't know how to do that, just ask again :-)

I have done it, and it is quite neat, but can be a little tricky.
Basically, you have /boot partitions for each install (among others). In
your case, Mandrake Install should do this for you, but if it does not,
just follow the following steps:
1) Once the install on hdb (7.2) is
