I just went to www.kde.org and then to their downloads and picked and FTP
server. In there there should be a stable folder and then a 3.0 folder. In
side will be the distros. Just choose Mandrake and then 8.2. That's all I

But this afternoon I have installed it in a friend's computer.
He cannot connect to internet (using kppp)
The modem is a Conceptronic 56ET
This is what I get if I run pppd from a console:

There aren't any uncommented lines in either file. If I remember correctly this means

I've just installed KDE3.0, just to have a peek, but mainly for the new
office stuff. All this is well and good, however, I keep getting these
errors. I upgraded the packages as opposed to a straight install, and
KDE2.2.2 is still working just fine. The errors are as
