Carrie,
Kitty urine washes out quite nicely in the wash I've
learned, so just throw the rug in the wash if you
don't think it would become too unraveled. A towel
would be a better choice because those can be washed
over and over. If this works for Pepper, I will buy
several cheap towels for her

Hi Lynne, I'm so sorry for your sad loss. In reply to your first
question, that's what I've been told - if they were born with the
virus, they have less of a chance. My two who were born with the
virus lived to 2.5-3 yrs of age. I wasn't giving them interferon. I
have 5 FELV cats now,

result of a URI not getting better on its own but this other vet I

If the fluid problem continues it may be a good idea to have her
heart checked, kitties with heart problems will have this as a symptom.
I belong to a feline heart group and this is a very common thing.

I agree with many of you. I don't see myself going

I have a question: why in the world would anyone take

Especially to the point of kicking a vegan out of a

Not sure what you're referring to, but if this happened (kicking a

Hi Allie,
I am sorry to hear that Lola was diagnosed FeLV. With
appropriate care, she may live several years, if not
more. I am glad that you did not decide to pts even
though the vet said most owners do. If that's true,
it's only because of the vet's advice and lack of
information.

I was vegetarian for about 6 years and it just amazed me at how many people would monitor my eating habits. I wouldn't make an issue of it and I was flexible that if I was at a party or something I would eat whatever was served--with or without meat. Let me go to a restaurant with a group and bear

Wow Rebecca! I had no idea that people would even

So, here's what I'm confused about.
We got chest XRays, and the vet is SURE that what we have is fluid, not
a malignancy. She was given a diuretic and her breathing has improved
quite a bit. She's not as active as a normal kitten should probably
be, but she's running up and down the stairs and
