Hi Guys, I hope your weekend was a relaxing one. I did manage to relax in Corpus Christi some, which I needed. My mom, aunt, and cousin went by the house on Saturday and gave Cricket his Prednisolone and Cyproheptadine and loved on him quite a bit. My best friend came by Sunday and gave him

Update on Cricket

Well, it has been a roller coaster of a weekend for me. My poor husband probably thinks I have gone bonkers. I called in sick (in tears) to work Thursday evening (for Friday) because I thought I was going to have to take Cricket to be PTS if he started having difficulty breathing due to low

I hope Cricket continues to do well. It is true that there is always some chance of rejection of a transfusion. But an rbc of 8 is so low that I feared he would die within a few days without one. I am glad to see he is proving us wrong so far, and hope he continues to. Dr. Lies swears I-R

Wendy, I'm very pleased to hear you and Cricket are hanging in there. I'm praying big time that the IR helps him over his anemia. Bless you guys, I know how hard that roller coaster ride can be, most of us do. Try very hard to continue to take care of yourself, keep your spirits up

You sound like a wonderful cat mom and Cricket is blessed to have you taking care of him. What a horrendous experience the two of you

Hi Belinda, Cricket isn't feral, but he sure does act like it sometimes. He gets crazy if anyone tries to do anything to him at the vet. Since he was so anemic, it was less stressful on him to sedate him. I did find a vet who will administer the ImmunoRegulin that I bought as soon as it gets

Wendy, my heart goes out to you and Cricket. I am so sorry. I'm emailing you an IR package in the next few minutes---it's a compilation of relevant emails that I put together after I lost Flavia to severe non-regenerative anemia in July. It details the choice of protocols for using. I wish you

Thank you so much Kerry; I can't seem to get enough information right now. And I'm feeling pretty desperate and tired, but probably not more so than Cricket. I appreciate and look forward to receiving the package. Maybe something in there will be lifesaving for him, or give him more time

Title: for Wendy: ImmunoRegulin/Cricket Hello Wendy, One of our very experienced members, Michelle L., highly recommended Immuno regulin (IR) to me, when my Flavia began to succumb to nonregenerative anemia. While I haven't yet had time to organise the following into one coherent report

Thank Kerry-I printed the info. off and will take it to the vet's tomorrow. I pray that Cricket is better today and will be responsive to the IR. God bless you. Wendy __ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http

. If I were in your position, I think I would be pursuing it. If there is a chance for the IR to work subq, so much less invasive than IV, so much less stressful for a guy like Cricket, I'd give it a shot. You can do the subq shots at home, he wouldn't have to spend time away from you

Thank you for your prayers Nina. And the info. I am not sure how Cricket will respond to the needle tomorrow, but if it's more effective than subQ, I'd rather go that route. I promised Cricket after his last harrowing visit to the vet two years ago that I would never leave him again and I won't

it up to 30. It eventually went back down again, but he was better for a while. Steroids alone will not be enough to control lymphoma, and giving them before chemo can make the chemo not work as well. 3) Which leads me to my third thought, which is to try to get Cricket to a board-certified
