i must have removed the the gcc-4.1.1 entry in package.keywords by mistake.
gcc-4.1.1 has
=dev-libs/gmp-4.2.1
=dev-libs/mpfr-2.2.0_p10
as dependencies but not the stable gcc-3.4.6 which portage wants to
