You can add functions to ebuilds in /etc/portage/env/cat/pkg, something
like
post_pkg_postinst() {
elog "Say goodbye to your config file!"
}

Sorry, typo. I meant to type "patch level upgrade", as in pkg-x.y.z-r1 to

Apache modules these days). At the end of the ebuild is this
message:
Execute "ebuild /var/db/pkg/www-apache/mod_perl/mod_perl-1.27-r4.ebuild

module.
You should then edit your /etc/conf.d/apache file to suit.

No such luck with the other build-systems. With some of above

This is a bug in the upstream build system. They should use `pkg-config
--libs ncurses` to construct the link command line, which would result
in the correct "-lncurses -ltinfo", but instead they just hardcode
"-lncurses".
Try passing LDFLAGS=-ltinfo or LDLIBS=-ltinfo to make or configure.

Ah, but those very drivers are in the kernel used by
the LiveCD to boot. Plus, they're part of the config
file it uses.

But 'sci-libs/mumps' doesn't install a pkg-config file.
I have done 'grep' through all CMakeLists.txt files,
but I have no idea where the 'mumps' library is included.
I'd be grateful to any hints and links (for 'cmake' dummies)

Driver here is mt7921e (first letter M) If it's not a copy/paste error,
is it wrong in some config file?
