went ahead and tried your suggestion of using a minimal data directory per
your link. Unfortunately, I got the same result, although I wasn't sure if
the error messages were exactly the same as before.

If my memory serves me right, we did tests with CADRG NITF but we never
dealed with NITF files with JP2 images. Therefore, I can't give you a
definitive answer.
However note that Image I/O-Ext NITF's support is based on GDAL 1.4.5.

I am using Geoserver 2.0.1 with the corresponding SQL Server 2.0.1 module.
Since our IT dept upgraded SQL Server 2008 from 32-bit to 64-bit, Geoserver
no longer connects properly.
All the connection parameters are unchanged from the 32-bit version - I am
using a number of other client

The SLD won't validate when using extensions sometimes,
Interesting... I have never heard of such an issue but then again I have
never worked with sql server on 64 bit.
So the connection succeeds but it does not send back the right tables? What
tables are getting returned? Are they in a specific schema?
I wonder if perhaps its a bug in the jdbc

You asked the right questions - particularly the question about schema. The

database defined as 'master' - once the default was changed to the database
containing my data, then Geoserver was fine.
