I actually looked up something similar regarding how to put a webpage link on the windows taskbar with Firefox. From what I remember, it was somewhat straight forward with Chrome, but Firefox required some additional steps and command prompt this and tweek that. This is with Windows 10 by the way.

This sounds like the Webvisum add-on. I recalled going in and disabling some settings as I only used it for the capcia stuff and didn't need the other accessibility features. It may also depend on any other extensions you also have running. NoScript can be pretty clicky too for example.
