I think that Mark mentioned that JXTA might be appropriate for this and
I'd like to second it.
If clusters of jboss are distributed all over the place - not just on

Good - that is the approach that made the most sense to me. I think JXTA has
promise as a complement to JMX/MBeans. It provides a better communication
model than the notify mechanism in JMX, IMO. It may also be worth a look
down the road as a vehicle for managing cluster nodes (?)

In order to compile the org.jboss.test.util.TestConnection.java class with jdk1.4,
several methods must be uncommented (the JDBC 3.0 methods). It used to be that these
methods caused this class to not compile with jdk1.3 due to the missing class,
Savepoint. But this class is now included in
Open For Business in SourceForge claims to be a quite complete one. I
have downloaded it, but still didn't try it. It is based on JBoss!!! =))
Out of this, Zope - CMF. Python based, IIRC. Quite complete.
At personal level, Jason, pliz feedback your decision. I have to choose
one next month :)
This change, serializing local proxies as well as remote ones, breaks the
local ejb-link naming tests on my machine: previously only the remote ones
were broken.
In the nightly tests, the remote tests (not the local) also failed on jdk
1.4, a similar setup to mine.
Does method boundary mean bean method boundary or any
method boundary (helper classes used within a beans method) ?

I have the same problem with oracle and the SEROPTO Type 4
JDBC driver.
The code i use runs on the alpha and on the beta release

It doesn't seem to be fixed. I just (18-Apr-2002 21:00 MET) compiled the latest code
from Branch_3_0 and ran into the same problems again.
I, too, bundled struts.jar with my EAR. I could only make it work by copying
struts.jar to JBoss' lib directory.
