Did you first uninstall all the TeXlive 2007 packages that come with F14 and
then force the installation of 2010?
Did you have to remove and reinstall LyX in the process?
How do you find 2010 as compared with 2007? I'm mainly interested in the
reverse

the alternative Windows installer for LyX 1.6.9 is now available. (I'm
abroad and far away from my home PC, so that it took some time. I'll
also be only sporadically available the next month.)
This installer comes again with an update installer to update existing
LyX 1.6.8
