Hello!
I’ve installed a 3rd party module by copying its TDS folder structure and
invoking `context --generate` as described in
https://wiki.contextgarden.net/Modules#ConTeXt_LMTX
When I compile my project with `context` (using LuaMetaTeX), it's found and
works just fine; however, when I try
several issues:
- parshapes being reset at the end paragraph (handled here by luametatex
context)
- parshapes operate on lines, not dimension (i might add an aletnative
one day)
- you use a bit old mechanism (checkout the luametafun-paragraphs chapter)
Now, is there a solution? It really depends
to ignore the next blank line or \par but you
have to add it at the end paragraph and not at the start.
In the old MkII days \GotoPar (the commands is still available) did the
job but with Luametatex you can now use the \ignorepars primitive to
achieve the result.

I was curious, so did a quick experiment: typeset \input knuth 500 times. Here
are the results:
pdflatex: 547 pages/sec

Option 1: Buy or borrow a faster computer. You'll get your desired speed-up far

That's surely the key statement - 'fast' here is a personal thing, and
40 pages a second is fast enough for many people. It's certainly fast
when you look at what LuaMetaTeX is doing, as Hans has said.

pdfTeX is 8bit, and Knuth’s plain TeX is very low level – for a fairer

I understand that why it is slo
that “The TeXbook” (having been written by Knuth himself) may be
optimized for speed.
Your math book may use features (I’m guessing again) that require more
resources than the features used by “The TeXbook”.

explain why
I can process TeXBook in almost an instant using PDFTeX which is about 450+
pages but my math book takes around 30 seconds averaging ~40 pages/second.

Hi Otared,
Yes, it contains LMTX. I am using TeX Live 2023 right now for a project, and it
reports "ConTeXt ver: 2023.05.05 18:36 LMTX”.

That is because I need LMTX to typeset a presentation for which most of
