walk in the Massapequa Preserve by walking the bike path. Tonight, for the
first time in the 27 years I've lived next to the Preserve, I heard a Great
Horned Owl calling. I first heard it while walking past the

morning to try for the GHGU. We arrived shortly after 9 am and were told it
hadn't been seen yet today. We waited with many others for over four hours,
when at 1:20 the bird showed up. It gave great views to all who

much. With people coming from a long distance, I think it ought to be
mentioned more than it has been.
