I have not noticed the problem in question but I would like to know why the
music choice network channels were droped from tapin radio I have emailed
them but they did not respond to my emails I guess they don't care about
their users thisvery rude of them a simple explination would have ben ver
ng at the moment a cheap Trust 5.1 card; have tried a
Philips Orilium which did not work and an Audegy 2NX which I still have which
when connected skipped like a CD and made jaws speak very peculiarly. Any
advice would be appreciated.

Yes correct. Windows xp Home edition supports up to 2 cpu kernelss.
I don't know, if the new dual core 2 supports hyper threading, but if it
does it probably should remained turned off as this would give 2 virtual
processors for each kernel, meaning 4 all in all.
