In the case of these modern USB floppy drives, I think the issue is
more likely to be the drives themselves on Windows XP systems.
Of course, the issue is probably completely different with Rich's
Windows 7 as DD floppy disk support has been removed from Windows by
Windows 7.

Does anyone know if Ghostscript on the QL is able to read PDF files

I've just had a chance to use this ultra-cheap 10 inch screen netbook
from Zoostorm and I loved it!
In the UK, it's on offer for just £199 from Argos (part number
508-3053) and seems to work just fine with QPC2 (albeit I've only used
it for a day or so).
While 10 inch screen netbooks like
support was supposed to be via Argos, that might have been enough to
persuade me not to buy it from them. But I didn't (I do now sadly).

all I found are two documents
reduced to A5 would be even worse). I suspect that as
Rich implies we wouldn't get good results from OCR, it might actually

These days? QPC supported the Aurora colour modes even before the
Aurora supported them, as I have developed the 8-bit

I have a graphics conversion tool which was written by Phoebus
Dokos -
to convert images designed on the PC into QL images (certainly for
hi-res modes) - I can't remember if it can convert to mode 4 or mode
8 though, or even if Phoebus would be willing to let it loose into
the public domain
