Does anyone subscribe to National Geographic International Edition? I
like the magazine, but I would rather read articles that use only SI
units. I contacted National Geographic directly and they told me that

my wife today for 150 MG of a particular medication. Astonished, I pointed
out to Dr Weeks that when the M is capitalized, it means mega, which in
this case, would means 150 megagrams, or 150 metric tons of medication. I
I suspect that people reading the message that I had sent out would
reasonably conclude that in such a context, clearly the intent is to
indicate milligrams. It has absolutely nothing to do with any non-SI units.

I know. I actually bought a pair of dumbbells made in Korea. Soft vinyl is
problematic because one is unable to fill to capacity; as soon as you fill
it up (which is very cumbersome) water pours out as one tries to insert the
plug. Rigid plastic would not have such a problem.

Default Excel US setting is commas to separate digits into groups of three
because that is what people in the United States commonly use. I was taught
that in school and it is what we use at work. I process financial contracts

of kilometer, because it is widely and commonly pronounced that way. I even
hear BBC reporters and France24 reporters pronouncing kilometer the
second-syllable-emphasis (American) way all the time. I watch France24 and
