If its not already going to work like this, can you also make it to where
you can just choose a list of tags to exclude instead of include? I pretty
much want to have all tagged links end up on my blog with an exception of a
small few that I don't necessarily want to be made personal but aren't
A suggestion for Joshua -
Could you please have the max length set on text box that you can type the description in so that you don't type a whole paragraph and then find it truncated when you look at your saved link? I end up with that happening all the time and it would be really easy to
happen, keeping me from losing data at the start would still be nice.

I'd like to second that request... I'd love to be able to tag all my local files!!!
At first I was going to say but not until we can have private bookmarks but it doesn't really matter I suppose if other people can't actually access your computer... I don't know if there's any security risk in
Del.icio.us doesn't have private links right now, though I believe it's on the development TODO list.
So, sorry, if you don't want people to know you're bookmarking things you'll either have to create another account for the naughty stuff or try out another bookmarking service that lets you
I don't know if this is close to what you're looking for but there are 3 interesting visualizations here:

I would question whether it could really be considered the web's first tag directory. I think I saw 3 betas last week thatdothat, and for free. Whoever wrote the article needs to do a tiny bit of research first. Good luck but I think he's going to be scraping the coin jar to fund that wedding!
Hi all,
Maybe there's a way to do this that I haven't noticed, but if not I'd like to suggest the enhancement.
When I get back search results from my own favorites list, I'd like to be able to edit or delete them right there... I have had a few that I wanted to add tags to today, so I had to
This is a request I've made and a few others on this list too. Hopefully it's being considered for development!!

I'll second that suggestion...
There's already the recommended tag cloud, your tags cloud and network cloud... couldn't the bundles just be some more clouds on the page?
Also, if possible, maybe all the clouds could be in a scrolling div? My popup window is a fixed height and I can't see
I don't think del.icio.us monitors the sites that you bookmark... it
doesn't keep copies like some other bookmark services do and I don't
even think the ones that keep copies go out and crawl sites to make
sure their copies are the latest. That is a very large task and more

At first I thought that creating the tags as properties instead of a
list was kind of odd but it's actually not too bad. Here's a code
sample on how to pull the names and counts out. It's basically like
working with an array.

var tagName = x;

I have started playing with the delicious RESTAPI (making a .Net wrapper to use for several potential projects) and I was wondering if there's a way to query another user's posts/tags? Currently it looks as if whoever is authenticated is the only user that results can bereturned for, and the
The new functionality on the tag bundler is great. It is so much easier now.
I have a suggestion for the next version. It would be nice if you
could add compound tags to your bundle... I have tags that serve as
parts... they're not really valuable unless I combine them with
another tag... for
I was just wondering if there's any timeline on the import
functionality coming back? I am axious to bring in my links from my
old service and get organized...
Thanks!

Hi all,
Can someone recommend one (or more) guides (formalized?) to tagging
practices? I know there are many schools of thought out there and I'm
trying to decide what is going to work best for me.
Metatagging seems to be the best bet (such as objecttype:book), but if
you start making up your
Has anyone ever looked at wists.com? It's targetted towards creating
an online wishlist, but they have metatagging where you can
categorize your links in the format type=tag, ex color=red or
objecttype=book. You create your own metatags, they aren't
prescribed.
I signed up just to play with the
Hi all,
I would like to use the javascript API to grab a list of my tags.
Does anyone know the URL I should use to do this? I can get all my
bookmarks, or all the bookmarks under a tag but not sure how to get
the list of tags...
Also, does anyone know if there's a way to get the list of tags
