This is easy to do, although it may confuse the "threading" feature of the apps you mention. A little thought and etiquette go a long way: e.g., when I see a message with a subject like I have a question. What would happen if..... Does anyone know? (etc etc) I typically hit the Delete key without opening. You could be talking about the discovery of an amazing solid base catalyst, and I'd never know.
