By the way, M, this list won't accept html formatted messages, 
text-only. Reduces Yahoo's ads to a line of text, and no viruses. No 
attachments either.

I found setting your individual prefs to no-html at Yahoo doesn't 
work very well. I still get ads and html from other Yahoo lists.

Etiquette, yes - Netiquette, very important, much neglected.

Re confusing "threading" features, maybe this would help:

"Wading Through Mush (or Muck) - was: Trends as I see it."

While we're at it, folks, please chop off all the stuff at the bottom 
of messages when you respond to them, it gets added on afresh each 
time, sometimes there are six sets of it. It's deadweight, clutters 
up everything, including the archives.
