Hi Wender,
Looking to the input information it seems that the crash is due to a 'delete'
operation performed over a pointer that has not allocated the memory with
the command 'new' or that it has been already deleted before. It is weird,
because if it were like that, it would happen always, in any computer.
My second clue is that you say you're using Ubuntu 4.10 64 bits... That's from
2004! before Synfig were released as Open Source for the first time! Are you
sure that you're suing Ubuntu 4.10 Warty Warthog? Maybe it is 10.04 Lucid Lynx?
Which are the specifications of the old computer?
Also, you mention that have tested to change the power source, run without
video card, changed the HD, the memory... hmmm do you have a
hardware combination that runs fine any other application than Synfig Studio.
If so, please don't touch it! Don't introduce more variables to the problem!
Let's concentrate on one task each time :)

Hello, my name is Weder Clay, I am Brazilian and I started using Synfig.
I recently purchased a new computer, but Synfig is very unstable and closes
itself.
On the old computer it runs very well ...
Computer Settings:
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H61M-D2P-B3
Video Card: Geforce GTX460
Kingston Memory 8 Gig
HD sansumg 1Q
Power: Thermaltake TR2 RX 650W
Audiophile 2496 sound card
Ubuntu 4.10 64bit
I've tried everything,
thermaltake by replacing the other, run without a video card, no sound card. I
changed HD, memory ...
Interestingly, I've done tests using Live-CD 32 and 64. Synfig On the old
computer does not crash.
On the new computer crashes quickly and closes the program.
