Hi weder,

I've modified the mouth.sifz file to get the same result without using the
Alpha Brighten blend mode.
I think that even the results are better because the alpha brighten mask effect
has leak of anti aliased edges.
There are two options:
1) Encapsulate the stuff you want to be inside the mask and then use the Onto
method for the paste canvas layer.
The result is at mouth-onto.sifz
2) Put the mask on top of the subject, invert it and use the Alpha Over blend
method. That would remove everything that is outside the mask region.

Using the Alpha Brighten produces aliased results.
Please compare the results of my proposed files with your file.

I hope it helps.
Greetings

Carlos

Hello Carlos,

Interestingly your test. I'll try installing a 32bit Linux version and devote
only four cores her. Synfig is run well, it will be easier and faster to work
than using Windows or Ubuntu with these problems. Thanks for the tip.

Regarding the use of Alpha Brighten find it very useful, because it acts like a
clip, a mask. Imagine you animate a mouth, where the area tutal is used as a
clip for the tongue and teeth ... this speeds up the animation process as well.
I think I use these resources because I use a lot of my work in Inkscape.

An example of using an Alpha Brighten in mouth:

www.cimcomunica.com/images/mouth.sifz   (Alpha Brighten disabled)

www.cimcomunica.com/images/mouth_alpha_brighten.sifz   (Alpha Brighten enabled)

I will test Synfig the virtual machine with 4 cores.

Hug!
