Hi Weder,
I've tested again your file in my Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits with Synfig Studio
0.63.02.
I don't know what's the cause of the crash but it is always related to have
Alpha Brighten made with a Region with feather.
I think it is related to a possible bug of the get_color() from the Shape
layer. When trying to get the RGBA color of the feathered area using the
Eyedrop tool, the info panel shows strange values. That strange values doesn't
happen on the circle layer for example.

I can reproduce the problem in a simpler file but for some reason it denies to
reproduce when running under the debugger.
I'll report a bug on tracker for later fixing but unfortunately I don't have a
solution yet.

Cheers

Hi Carlos,

Notice in the previous email, I provide a link to a file and you exmplo replied:

"That I confirm the crash happens here:
Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits, Synfig Studio 0.63.02 "

Follow the link to the file:

I asked about your equipment, poeque you said earlier that there was error in
your computer as well. thought it might be some combination of hardware. I'm
buying another computer, also an i7, but I'm thinking of trying another
motherboard for example, so I wanted to know about your hardware.

I wondered why the same systems in Live CD, both 32 and 64 give error on the
new machine and the former work very well ...

I've tried to use the new computer without any peripherals off. I removed the
video card, sound, swapped memories, HD. Even tried to run the computer with
the new HD with the old system pre intalled. On the old computer runs fine in
the new lock anyway. So I thought it might be something related to hardware.
For example the type of motherboard ...

Thank you for your attention.

For now I'll try to run it on Windows, but I confess that I would use it on
Linux.

I'm not even on my Windows partitions, but if Synfig run well on windows, I
have to do this because I have already adapted to it. I think the Synfig
fulfills the role and vector animation software and has very good resources.

Hug!
