Damien answers this :
- when we explain what the problem is and what to do, people complain
the GUI is not the right place for this and we need to simplify
- when we simplify things, people complain too

The world is made of people with contradictory advices :)

That is your advice. That is not advice of the people who designed the
libraries and who work on Ekiga. Sending REGISTERs through all available
interfaces is a good idea and the only way to make sure we can handle
all interfaces. If Ekiga is reachable using several interfaces, then
your proxy will handle it perfectly. SIP has been designed in such a way
that you can REGISTER the same account from different places at the same
time.

Talk or Converse or Discuss might have been a better idea. But it is too
late.
