 Eh!  I guess we shouldn't discuss this too generally; I should come
 with particular cases that Ekiga should have diagnosed more precisely
 and point at where it failed doing so.

 I stand corrected; the fact is it didn't fly with the two registrars I
 used, as soon as the vbox interface was down, Ekiga was merrily
 registering the accounts properly again.

 Actually, I now realized by doing it again why I was bothered with
 this: I usually alt-f4 or close the window when I want to close an open
 document or an app, but in the case of ekiga it minimizes to tray when
 I do this.
   I do prefer the current behavior of minimizing to tray, but it makes
 the name of the menu more apparent since I use it more often than in
 other apps.
