Not to re-ignite any arguments, but wouldn't that defeat the purpose of doing bindings by hand, if they end up looking more or less like the SWIG bindings we already have?

Incidentally, I spent a bit of time with the interface files getting them back up to speed. They were broken for awhile, but now they work for at least the first few tutorials. It needs more work, though.
