Hi Mira :) > I've post my hardware list ... HTH >
It does help. There are some timing and sync problems, but the serious trouble for some people are crashes, anyway, people can understand that audio is fine and MIDI seems to be fine, but isn't heavy tested by you. Thank you. > I don't know this kind of mobo but I use Asus too ... In Germany it seems to be hard to get CPUs for some sockets. Most dealers sell AM2 and LGA775 socket CPUs and for some sockets it's also hard to get second-hand CPUs. AM2 sockets are most common for actual AMD based and LGA775 for actual Intel based mobos. > Good luck with choosing graphic card. > Thank you. I hope the crashes when using ALSA MIDI are caused by the frame buffer, that is taken from the main memory, by the on-board graphics, but I don't think so. It seems to be the chipset for anything else. I'm affraid that I have to wait until there are new BIOS updates and RT kernels ex 2.6.27. I fear to buy another mobo, because this one is the second mobo that's not fine with Linux. Even so the actual mobo isn't fine with a Linux MIDI DAW, but fine with Linux for anything else. Cheers, Ralf
