< /asound/version for the 64 Studio 2.6.21-1 says 1.0.16, only Synaptic
< shows a package called alsa-modules... 1.0.17 as installed and my 64
< Studio's kernel 2.6.24.7-rt17 also comes with 1.0.15. The latest Suse RT
< is 2.6.25.16-0.1-rt, using 1.0.16rc2.
<
< I tested 2.6.21-1and 2.6.25.7-rt17 with 64 Studio running 2.1 and
< 2.6.21-1 running 64 Studio Lenny, but ALSA MIDI isn't fine. I also
< tested 2.6.25.11-0.1-rt with Suse 11.0 and ALSA MIDI isn't okay for it
< too. I hope I'll have better luck when testing ALSA MIDI and also JACK
< MIDI with Suse's 2.6.25.16-0.1-rt.
<
< At the moment I can't recommend any LINUX kernel to use with MIDI. The
< Linux kernels seems to be not fine for many motherboards, independent if
< they are AMD/ATI or Intel based.

Hi Ralf,

sorry for inaccurate info. I have been tired. Alsa modules are really 1.0.16
for 2.6.21 64studio kernel.
But anyway this kernel working fine for me( not bug with Digiface card).
I am quite curious what is your problem with Alsa midi. Actually I didn't use
midi on linux very much till now.
If you describe to me how to test it I can try it here.
I will let you know how is it working on my hardware.

Cheers

mira
