Hi Mira :)

/asound/version for the 64 Studio 2.6.21-1 says 1.0.16, only Synaptic
shows a package called alsa-modules... 1.0.17 as installed and my 64
Studio's kernel 2.6.24.7-rt17 also comes with 1.0.15. The latest Suse RT
is 2.6.25.16-0.1-rt, using 1.0.16rc2.

I tested 2.6.21-1and 2.6.25.7-rt17 with 64 Studio running 2.1 and
2.6.21-1 running 64 Studio Lenny, but ALSA MIDI isn't fine. I also
tested 2.6.25.11-0.1-rt with Suse 11.0 and ALSA MIDI isn't okay for it
too. I hope I'll have better luck when testing ALSA MIDI and also JACK
MIDI with Suse's 2.6.25.16-0.1-rt.

At the moment I can't recommend any LINUX kernel to use with MIDI. The
Linux kernels seems to be not fine for many motherboards, independent if
they are AMD/ATI or Intel based.

Thank you for the informations.

Cheers,
Ralf
