Well I had ME installed before the hard drive went. That certainly is worse than XP. I had Win 98 prior to that which isn't available any longer, and Windows 95 prior to that and Windows 3.0, 3.1 and prior to that I had every version of DOS once hard drives were installed. Prior to that I had a Tandy. In my opinion, DOS was the ticket. It all started going downhill with Windows. That's why I now have a Mac for the internet, and XP for wordprocessing, and running my business. There will never be an ISP installed on XP. So, if you don't see that Pro has anything you need, what do you run, may I ask? Arianne
