I don't recall all your posts, but I think you mentioned using an adapter? If so, have you tried a new one? Maybe the problem lies in the adapter. Just a thought. My PS2 mouse stopped working a few months back, but I think my problem was the PS2 port, so I bought an adapter for USB and everything is fine. Debbie----------

The new one I got has a Ps/2 connector, when the USB dies. however, the PS/2 connector makes the mouse jump all over the screen. While it works and doesn't die, it doesn't calm down either so that makes Ps/2 unusable. Therefore, I have to use the USB.
