I regularly use a USB mouse, plug it into a USB port. I bought a new one because this one started failing on me constantly. The new one didn't fix the problem unfortunately. Also USB. However, the package also contained a USB to Ps/2 adapter. A little green thing you stick your USB into and plug in like an old fahsioned mouse into the back. I did that. It acted like it had rabies. :(
I've uninstalled all the Logitech stuff now and I'm back to a standard USB HID compliant mouse from Microsoft, the original driver. It still dies but at least as of this moment, not as often. Everyhting else is lovely is the problem, so I don't think it's a motherboard issue.
