Yep

Electronic damage is seldom visible. But I think that maybe you would have
gotten more noise from the computer if it was the mobo than if it is the
power supply.
If this is an older computer perhaps for nearly the cost of getting it fixed
you can get a new one, if maybe a bare bones machine.
