My computer is about 4 years old and I still considered it pretty
fast...well when it was working.

I checked the power supply by removing all the drives and left it at
bare minimum (video card, one stick of ram and cpu) and it remained
the same.

I can settle for something wrong with my motherboard or cpu or power
supply if only I knew and saw the damages.

So if my motherboard or cpu died, there would be signs of it? Like
noises, smell or brown spots if it were fried?
