Thanks, Debbie Debbie Its better to use a new paint brush to remove compacted dust and hair from fans etc, and only use a vac to pick up the bits. The thing is trying to avoid creating ESDs which may damage expensive computer components. Its seems a very immotive and personal subject so expect a very large thread. With all different shades of opinion as to what is safe practice. The problem is static electricity, those little battery operated vacs they sell for computers are pretty ineffective, I have a kit of minature tools that fit throigh an adaptor to a full sizes vac hose. As it is pretty powerful I point the tool from outside the case, toward its base. I look forward to all the replies you will get.
